10 years ago today the greatest GIF in Ole Miss history was born
It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since Marshall Henderson erupted onto the college basketball scene
Ten years ago today Ole Miss was tied 61-61 with Auburn, at Auburn, and Marshall Henderson drew a foul on an Auburn inbounds pass that sent him to the free throw line with just 6 seconds remaining in the game.
The Auburn boos were loud.
The folks on the Plains didn’t agree with the foul call and they especially didn’t like the obnoxious kid wearing No. 22 for the Rebels.
They heckled Henderson as hard as they could in an attempt to distract him as he stepped to the line.
Henderson drilled them both.
After Henderson made the free throws and the clock hit 0:00 Henderson ran over to the Auburn student section to make a more personal introduction, and a legend was born.

Henderson was a gift, and we didn’t deserve him!
Ole Miss improved to 17-2 (6-0 SEC) with the win. Those were the days….
I hope and pray that the the next Ole Miss basketball coach can find another diamond in the rough like Henderson.
